Dance Habit was established with you in mind. Our dance school features classes specifically programmed for all age groups – from preschoolers to teenagers and adults. There are no narky judges in this neck of the woods! Just professional, welcoming and nurturing instructors keen to help you reach your goals.
Besides teaching kick-butt techniques, Dance Habit is about providing a space for children and adults to share dance experiences – it’s a place to escape.
Our primary venue Scots' Presbyterian Church Hall is a delightful, unique and charming historical monument that is important to West Footscray's past and the local community.
Mums, dads and carers, we have a dedicated space here for you to take a well-earned breather while your child takes their class. Yep, here’s your chance to enjoy a coffee over the paper (uninterrupted!), or you can catch up with other parents. Why not bust your own moves? Don’t forget there’s a class for you, too!
Head on over to our timetable page and find the class that's perfect for you!!
"It's great to take baby steps learning to dance in such a supportive and fun environment. I would recommend Dance Habit to anyone!" Dianne Rendle
(Intro to Dance, Pre-Level 1, Ballet & Jazz)
Dance Habit Founder and Director, Megan Sayer-Roberts, began her dance career at the age of just three, training in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip-hop. In 2006, she was awarded a Bachelor in Performing Arts (Dance Major) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
A professional dancer, Megan has performed on stage, television and in film. She has adjudicated dance competitions and been sought out as a guest tutor for dance workshops in New Zealand, and further abroad.
Megan’s love of performing has been quickly matched by her zest of teaching, which has led to her Dance Habit dream. Her desire is to instill this passion in others so everyone can experience the joy that dance can bring.
